What You'll Do

  • Business growth – Deliver growth and build pipeline of new projects at existing customers and develop lead generation activities for potential new accounts.
  • Technical Leadership – Be the first point of contact to provide technical support and guidance to formulators at customer locations. Provide guidance towards customer recommendations that solve their cost, quality, and functionality requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Technical team to conduct seminars at customer R&D sites.
  • Major Account Management – Manage major customer accounts to deliver profitable growth (identifying new opportunities, margin growth, and price management). Develop and broaden the stakeholder network at customer locations into R&D, Production, Quality and Regulatory functions to gain deeper understanding of customer needs and align Planteneers resources to deliver on those needs.
  • Innovation – provide the Planteneers team a view to challenges, opportunities and trends that lead to product and service opportunities and basis for Planteneers to build a stronger position in creating the right solutions for the food and beverage industry.
  • Communication with internal team – Develop an effective working relationship across relevant functions by creating an open dialog, listening, demonstrate respect and empathy and develop a stronger sense of self awareness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA in marketing, leadership, business or other relative degree programs or equivalent work experience in a marketing, sales, business development or account manager role
  • At least 3 years in a sales position, account manager or business development role.
  • Working knowledge of the food and beverage industry relating to CPG/retail, foodservice, manufacturing and co-manufacturing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about business development and customer relationships
  • The ability to be open to learning and helping others learn
  • Able to use transferable skills from selling a ready to eat product to project lead with functional ingredients.
  • Travel in the West Coast as needed and attendance at trade shows

Preferred
Education
