Job Description:

As the West Coast Regional Sales Manager, you will be accountable for evolving and leading your sales team.  In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing a team comprised of Account Managers tasked with building customer and supply relationships for long-term profitable growth. Duties include margin management structure to optimize profitable revenue growth, defining appropriate methods of customer engagement and satisfaction, new lead engagement and targeted growth. The West Coast Regional Sales Manager will aid in supporting the overall Sales strategy by developing and managing team’s expectations for identifying key indicators of customer base to recognize opportunities for substantial growth opportunities and work accordingly with Regional Sales Directors for potential account movement.  The ideal candidate has led and managed, at a first or second-line level of leadership, sales teams in food, beverage, and ingredients industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for driving sustained customer growth and ensured long-term satisfaction through strategic relationship management and value delivery.
  • Consistently achieve or surpass sales revenue and profitability targets through strategic planning, effective client engagement, and results-driven execution.
  • Identify large opportunity indicators for leveling up customers, maintaining a standard level of business engagement and customer satisfaction.
  • Define and support the account execution: developing the customer engagement strategy, leveraging technology, and improving sales processes.
  • Ensure customer engagement strategies are aligned with Batory’s mission, values, and culture, and that they result in team development and revenue growth.
  • Identify, refine, and leverage accounts best practices to create “The Batory Way” of account management.
  • Define, lead, and manage an optimal sale force.
  • Manage and coach sales professionals to deliver profitable growth.
  • Manage under-performing sales professionals to improve performance or manage them out of the business.
  • Create a culture of winning, collaboration, and ongoing business goal achievement.
  • Effectively and collaboratively work across Batory’s functions to optimize accounts revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and deliver accurate and timely quarterly and annual sales forecasts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong change agent sales leadership experience at the first or second-line level.
  • Food, Beverage, and Ingredients industry strategic accounts experience.
  • Working knowledge of strategic customer base, distribution models and current competitive market preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of strategic account selection & segmentation practices, customer profile development, customer penetration strategies, strategic customer business planning, sales best practices,
  • Experienced in CRM adoption and usage, pipeline development and progression, and business planning/forecast acumen.
  • Experienced building a highly engaged, collaborative team that places high value on growth and customer satisfaction.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity. You see opportunity and growth in learning and incorporating new methodologies, strategies, and tools for improved effectiveness.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments, driving revenue growth and enhancing customer satisfaction through strategic alignment and shared goals.

Preferred
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree  in one of the following fields:  Business Administration; Marketing; Sales; Communication and Management.
