Females in Food Launches Second Annual State of Women in Food and Beverage Survey

Press ReleaseMinneapolis, MN — February 2026

Females in Food (FIF) has officially launched its second annual State of Women in Food & Beverage Survey, continuing its commitment to advancing data-driven insights on representation, leadership, and opportunity within the industry.

Following the release of its inaugural report last year, Females in Food is building on that foundation to measure progress, track trends, and better understand the evolving landscape for women across the food and beverage sector.

The first report marked a pivotal moment for the industry — offering one of the only comprehensive, sector-specific snapshots of women’s experiences across manufacturing, R&D, sales, marketing, operations, executive leadership, and entrepreneurship. The findings provided leaders, companies, and investors with valuable insights to guide decision-making around representation, advancement, and long-term industry growth.

Now, as the industry faces significant shifts — including AI adoption, cost pressures, evolving workforce models, and increasing scrutiny around corporate accountability — consistent measurement is more critical than ever.

“Progress cannot be assumed. It must be measured”

said Angela Dodd, Founder of Females in Food.

“This second report allows us to move beyond a single snapshot and begin identifying patterns, progress, and persistent barriers. Our goal is to ensure women’s voices remain visible as our industry evolves.”

Why This Survey Matters

The food and beverage industry has unique workforce dynamics, including:

  • Manufacturing-heavy career pathways
  • Complex global supply chains
  • Strong legacy leadership structures
  • Retail and ingredient power concentration
  • Rapid innovation cycles

General workforce studies often fail to capture these nuances. The State of Women in Food & Beverage Survey provides industry-specific insight to support smarter talent strategies, more informed investment decisions, and measurable progress toward representation goals.

Survey Details:

  • Completely anonymous
  • Takes approximately 3 minutes to complete
  • Open through the end of March
  • Aiming to represent 1,000+ voices across the industry

Women working in any capacity within food and beverage are encouraged to participate and share the survey across their professional networks.
